The Vids

I grew up in a pre Pacman environment. I remember when the bulky video games were first being put in stores and owners hated it until they saw how much money it brought in.

Video games. We still love em....the good ones that is.

Well I have taken some time this weekend to explore a few new games.
I own a PS2 and XBox so you could say that I am a bit behind the curve. But like they say, hindsight is 20/20 and I live in the past and see clearly.
If a game on the new consoles looks like something that could be run on the older gen machines, then I say someone has wasted their money.
I wont get all into that, I just want to tell you what is hot.

For the Non Anime fans, but those who love a good fight scene.
I know that DragonBall Z and Naruto can be a wild ride for a cartoon but the games....
ah, the fighting goodness is worth it.
PS2 DragonBall Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is fun.
Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 is cool but is a 2d game with good scenes. Easier for kids.
Be on the lookout for the 3's to come out soon.

Metal Gear has never let me down.
NEVER. Ok, maybe Konami did when they shut down Snake Eater's online servers.
Be on the lookout for the next Metal Gear release. It is always a fun game to play.

I have to mention Call of Duty. If you like realistic shooters it is a keeper.

This week I am going to delve deeper in to my Guitar Hero passion. Its such a great game.

Da Bats

Yes, you can call me a Batman fan. Ever since I was a child I was a fan. We had a huge Batman puzzle that took up a large part of the bedroom floor.
I think back at the movies. The only good Batman movie was Batman Begins.
I felt like, "Finally, a good Batman depiction."
So, the next instalment is up next year.
I hope it is worth it.

Wonder Woman better be cool as well in 2009. Not that I am fan...but since good movies can be made, they should be.
The 90's was the year for making things that were originally cool, well, uh...suck.

Need proof? Watch 1998's Godzilla remake.

Total Ass.

G.I. Joe The Movie

Ok, They did a great job with Transformers. I know that with a great director and a great toy comes great responsibility. I hope that the sequel is just as good except the killing off of the obvious black autobot. We all saw that coming didn't we.

Now, since they got the practice out of the way with all the CG, lets talk about the real deal.

WHERE IS G.I. Joe the MOVIE.

I am talking about great actors combined with a great plot. I don't want to see some of the has been actors trying to take a role in a movie because they liked the toy. Comic Book G.I. Joe has some depth. Keep Nicholas Cage away from any script. He made Ghost rider look puss. That takes talent to make a flaming skull look like a 3rd Grade bully with 2 grader taunts.

Who do you think should be in the movie? I don't want to hear about Samuel L. Jackson playing Destroy either.

"Cobra Commander, give me my wallet. You know the one that says bad Motherf*cker"

And no more whiny Cobra Commander. I want the hard core Comic book one.
You know Snake eyes and Storm Shadow will have to enter. I mean snake eyes is more hard core than Wolverine.
Ok, Maybe not, but he is damn close.
Any Ideas?
